Its an interesting way to see how somebody else is implementing a theme. But if you really want a WordPress theme it's probably cheaper to just buy it than to go through this effort. But good exercise for themers.

Wouldn't it just be simpler to contact the owner of the relevant blog and ask for a copy of the theme. WordPressers are mostly nice guys, you might just get a surprise.
Doing things this way will not give you the entire theme. You will miss most of the dynamic bits that are provided by the other files you have not created here. Depending on the particular theme there could be many other files.
